Free Invitation! Pre-Launch Event Using Recycled Paper from Origami Cranes on Wednesday, July 31 @ Rest House
Hiroshima’s Peace Brand “EARTH Hiroshima,” which aims to spread peace globally, will start the paper craft workshop “Peace Workshop” using recycled paper from origami cranes on Hiroshima Peace Memorial Day, Tuesday, August 6. To commemorate this launch, a free pre-experience event will be held on Wednesday, July 31, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Rest House in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
Why not capture the feelings of peace you experienced after visiting Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park as a souvenir of your trip?
Origami cranes sent to Hiroshima from around the world amount to approximately 10 million cranes (about 10 tons) annually. Each crane carries a wish for peace. To pass on these heartfelt wishes to future generations, the cranes are reborn as recycled paper called Origami Crane Recycled Paper.
At the pre-experience event on Wednesday, July 31, participants will use Origami Crane Recycled Paper to create flower motifs called “Origami Crane Recycled Paper Flowers.”
