EARTH Hiroshima 10th Anniversary POP-UP Held at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Rest House
From Tuesday, October 6 to Monday, October 12 (national holiday), 2026, we held an EARTH Hiroshima POP-UP for seven days at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Rest House, which successfully came to a close.
The event was a 10th anniversary POP-UP that also served as the debut of the new “Orizuru PEACE Socks,” launched on October 6. Along with the new product, we sold a variety of EARTH Hiroshima items, including the popular Orizuru Charms and Re:ORIZURU (recycled origami crane paper goods), and throughout the seven days, we were able to have many visitors pick up and explore our products.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who visited, everyone who took an interest in our products, and everyone who helped make the event possible.

The star of the event was, of course, our new “Orizuru PEACE Socks.” Based on the theme of “Walking in Peace,” the socks were jointly developed by Hiroshima-based sock manufacturer Corporation Pearlstar Co., Ltd. and graphic designer Rie Hiromoto.
The vibrant red-and-white design really stood out on the sales floor, and we had many customers tell us how cute they thought it was. Some customers came to feel the samples and see how comfortable they were, while others took an interest after seeing staff members wearing them. There were even a few who left the sales floor only to return later, saying, “I just couldn’t stop thinking about them.” Additionally, customers often chose these socks not just for themselves but as gifts for family members, and there were instances where they purchased two or three pairs at once. The socks were also very well-received by international visitors, with customers from various countries including the United States, Australia, Germany, Canada, and France.
Seeing the Hiroshima-born “Walking in Peace” socks make their way into the hands of visitors from around the world was a very special part of these seven days for us staff members as well.

Beyond socks, we were delighted that so many people enjoyed the wide variety of products available at EARTH Hiroshima.
Many chose our products as mementos of their trip to Hiroshima or as souvenirs for family and friends. We even had to restock some items over the weekend, since our inventory had run low. What left a particularly strong impression on us was that customers were interested not only in the designs of our products but also in the wishes for peace embedded in their stories.
The atmosphere at the booth varied from day to day throughout the event.
On days when cruise ships were in port, the booth was bustling with visitors from overseas, while over the weekend, we also had many visitors from within Japan. We enjoyed conversations with people visiting from a variety of countries and regions, while introducing them to our products.
We also had a wonderful reunion on the final day!
A customer from Shizuoka prefecture who had previously purchased our products at a POP-UP held at “Shima Shoten” in Hiroshima Station ekie, learned about this event through Instagram and came to visit us again. We were very happy that a connection formed at a previous event led us to an opportunity to meet again.

We are all truly delighted to be able to present our “Orizuru PEACE Socks”, created with the hope of “walking in peace”, to everyone at such a special location as the Peace Memorial Park. We are also very happy that so many people from Japan and abroad picked up a pair and took them home to various places across the world.
Once again, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who visited, and everyone who helped make the event possible. EARTH Hiroshima will continue to share wishes for peace with the world through the power of Hiroshima’s craftsmanship and design.
We look forward to your continued support.
